Kiro Robot

Kiro Robot is an open-source, 3D-printable humanoid STEM robotics kit in development for learners ages 12+, working individually or in teams of up to four. With a preferred height of approximately 80 cm (31.5 in) and a minimum design target of 60 cm (23.6 in), Kiro brings hands-on learning to life. Build, code, and customize a robot while exploring engineering, creative design, and responsible AI. Artwork, capabilities, and pricing are preliminary targets subject to testing; launch timing is not yet determined.

The Kiro Robot has not been released. Marketplace purchasing will become available at launch.

01 / WHY IT MATTERS

Build a robot. Give it a purpose.

Learn by building and changing

Planned solder-free core assembly and editable designs invite learners to explore mechanics, electronics, sensing, and control. Customize parts and behaviors within documented limits, then test how each change affects the robot.

From first blocks to Python

Flexible starter pathways are planned for middle school, high school, and postsecondary programs, with homeschool guidance. Progress from visual blocks to Python and from Tinkercad to Fusion as skills grow.

Make movement meaningful

Walking, turning, balance recovery, getting up, gestures, and simple dance routines are development goals. Students will be able to give their robot a character or purpose and create performances that connect storytelling with engineering.

Engineering and social understanding

Every planned starter pathway combines technical learning with questions about useful applications, privacy, reliability, human oversight, and responsible AI. Optional local or cloud AI will support experiments with personality, conversation, and planning.

Choose how much to print

Three planned kits share one robot design: electronics and hardware for programs printing all parts; a structural kit with PETG-CF structure supplied; and a complete kit with structure and body prints supplied. Every tier includes a charger and excludes the battery.

Create, share, and keep exploring

A free curated community library is planned for behaviors, games, and custom-part designs, with attribution and remixing. Classroom and homeschool-group sharing will support participation without mandatory individual student accounts.
